This recipe for Thai
fried rice is not an authentic Thai dish. As you all known, fried rice and fry
cooking technic is what we derived from Chinese. However, Thais adopt and
adjust this technic in many recipes. This egg fried rice or Khao-Paad-Khai is
one of them. It’s a common street food in Thailand.

Recipe for Thai fried rice-Egg fried rice |
3 cups Rice, cooked
2 Eggs
¼ cup Pork, sliced
3 tbs. Onion, sliced
3 tbs. Tomato, sliced
1 Chinese broccoli or
broccoli (Optional)
1 tbs. Garlic, crushed
and chopped
2 tbs. Cooking oil
1 ts. Sugar
2 tbs. Spring onion,
sliced
- Heat the wok and fried
the garlic for about 10 second.
- Fried the sliced pork
until cooked.
- Break the eggs and fried
until cooked. Add tomatoes, onion and Chinese broccoli.
- Add the cooked rice.
Stir. Flavor with fish sauce and sugar.
- Top with sliced spring onion. Serve.
You can have sliced
cucumber as side dish. Oh! And don’t forget fish sauce and bird’s eye chili. Enjoy your meal!
