Chinese cabbage stir fry recipe

This Chinese cabbage stir fry recipe (Paad-Pak-Kaad-Kaw) is not an authentic Thai food. Actually it’s Chinese, but, like many Chinese dishes, Thai cuisine embraced and adopted these dishes so they become common dish in Thai homemade meals.

½ cup Pork, sliced
1 Chinese cabbage, sliced
½ ts. Palm sugar
½ tbs. Garlic, crushed and thoroughly chopped
2 tbs. Cooking oil
2-3 tbs. Fish sauce or soy sauce 
  1. Heat the wok. Add cooking oil and garlic. Fried for 10-20 seconds.
  2. Add sliced pork and fish sauce or soy sauce. Fried until 95 percent cooked.
  3. Add slice Chinese cabbage and palm sugar. Continue frying for 20-30 seconds. 
  4. Serve with rice. 
This dish has a lot of Chinese cabbage as a main ingredient and this vegetable is luscious. It has a lot of internal water which will be mix with the flavoring ingredients during the frying and soften the taste of the dish. Hence you should not spend a lot of time on stage 3.

Recipe for Thai cucumber soup

This recipe for Thai cucumber soup is a good dish to eat with rice and fish sauce. It’s easy to cook and also and healthy.

 1-2 Cucumber, peel and scooped
1 cup Ground pork
2-2 ½ cups Stock
1 ts. Powdered pepper
2 tbs. Soy sauce
1 ts. Oyster sauce
1 ts. Ground coriander root (Optional)
1 Garlic, crushed and thoroughly chopped
¼ ts. Salt 
  1. Mix the powdered pepper, ground coriander root, and thoroughly chopped garlic.
  2. Marinate ground pork with the ingredient in 1., soy sauce, and oyster sauce for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Stuff the scooped cucumber with ground pork.
  4. Boil the stock, add salt and wait until hot.  Put the stuff cucumber in a boiling stock and cook for 15-20 minute. Serve.
You can add glass noodle in the ground pork. Also you can top the dish with chopped spring onion. Since The taste of this dish is mild, so you can eat it alone or with rice. You can also flavor the dish in your plate with fishsauce and chilli

Banana recipe dessert –Banana in coconut milk

This banana recipe dessert is so easy to cook as usual. If you are a banana lover, I’m sure you would love Thailand cause we have plenty types of banana. This dessert is a really common Thai dessert that you can easily find banana in coconut milk in many Thai ceremonies.

8 Bananas
3 cups Coconut milk
1/3 cup Sugar
½ ts. Salt 
  1. Boil the bananas without peeling for 3-5 minutes. Take them out.
  2. Boil coconut milk with sugar and salt. Stir regularly until the coconut milk is hot.
  3. Peel the bananas. Sliced into 4 pieces per banana. Add them into boiling coconut milk.
  4. Boil the banana in coconut milk for another 1 minute and take it out. Wait until it’s cold down. Serve.
