An easy meal that is good for breakfast or supper. I usually cook this pork and rice recipe when I am hungry and need a quick, easy meal. You can change ground pork to others kind of meat ie. sliced chicken, fish, or squid.
Rice soup with ground pork |
¾ cup Ground pork
3 cups Pork stock
1 tbs. Vegetable oil
Garlic, dry cabbage leaves, fish sauce, pounded pepper, chopped celery, chopped spring onion, chopped Chinese parsley

- Boil rice with 2 cups of chicken stock till it’s cooked. Pour another cup of stock. Bring the rice out of the oven.
- Crush garlic and fried with vegetable oil for 10-20 sec. Bring the garlic out but leave the oil in the wok.
- Put ground pork (or any meat you like) in and fry till the meat is cooked.
- Mix the cooked pork with rice soup.
- Sprinkle on top with chopped celery, chopped spring onion, chopped Chinese parsley, and fried garlic. You can flavor you own soup by adding fish sauce or chili marinated in vinegar.
