Rice soup with ground pork (Kao Tom Moo Sub)

An easy meal that is good for breakfast or supper. I usually cook this pork and rice recipe when I am hungry and need a quick, easy meal. You can change ground pork to others kind of meat ie. sliced chicken, fish, or squid.

Rice soup with ground pork
1 cups Rice
¾ cup Ground pork
3 cups Pork stock
1 tbs. Vegetable oil
Garlic, dry cabbage leaves, fish sauce, pounded pepper, chopped celery, chopped spring onion, chopped Chinese parsley

  1. Boil rice with 2 cups of chicken stock till it’s cooked. Pour another cup of stock. Bring the rice out of the oven.
  2. Crush garlic and fried with vegetable oil for 10-20 sec. Bring the garlic out but leave the oil in the wok.
  3. Put ground pork (or any meat you like) in and fry till the meat is cooked.
  4. Mix the cooked pork with rice soup.
  5. Sprinkle on top with chopped celery, chopped spring onion, chopped Chinese parsley, and fried garlic. You can flavor you own soup by adding fish sauce or chili marinated in vinegar.
